FOR DCUSU PRESIDENT
As SU President, I’ll ensure that the needs of our students are heard and met, while also reigniting the amazing community and connection that DCU students share. I’ve loved every minute of my time in DCU and now it’s my turn to give back.

DOUBLE FRESHERS
It’s safe to say that first years haven’t had the Fresher’s experience they deserved. Next year the Fresher’s events and celebrations will be opened up to 2nd year students, so they can get the welcome to campus they deserve when it is safe enough to do so. There will be an abundance of opportunities for both first and second year students to connect with each other, through larger orientation programs and s many events as the calendar can fit!
DCU HOMECOMING CELEBRATIONS
As students, we have found it harder to stay at home, away from our friends. Coming out of this crisis, there will need to be more events and more socialising than ever before. We will be bringing back a day of festivities at the All Hallows Summer Festival. On top of this, We will be introducing the inaugural DCU Campus Homecoming Celebration to celebrate the reunion of DCU Students on campus together. We’ll kick off a day-long party with light-hearted fun and games during the day, and live music and DJs all night.
INCREASE STUDENT SUPPORT AWARENESS
I will ensure that more support is brought to the students that need it the most, from counselling and therapy, to financial aid for rent. There are so many supports and resources available in DCU through Student Support and Development. By training class reps to guide their class, we can make students aware that there is support available out there for us and that the challenges we are going through right now can be overcome.
DUAL-LEARNING AVAILABILITY
Although online learning hasn’t been as near as engaging and enjoyable for students, recorded lectures have made learning more flexible, whilst clear and concise communication of assessment has helped us manage our workloads. By encouraging lecturers to continue to record and upload their lectures, this will make life easier for commuter students or those trying to balance work and college. We will also work with faculties to ensure clear communication of module assessment is given as early as possible.
MULTI-CAMPUS COHESION
Next year, we will bring students from each campus together, increasing the number of student events and societies on St. Pats and All Hallows Campus. The Clubs and Socs Fair in St. Pats will get a revamp and more opportunities to join and start clubs and societies will be available.
Furthermore, the SU Officers will have stronger relationships and representation on St. Pats Campus, dedicating a minimum of 2 days per week in the Pats SU.
Hey guys! My name is Terence, my pronouns are he/him, and I’m a final year Global Business student with a passion for people and making a difference. I’ve been fully immersed in student life in DCU, from being an active member in Enactus, Esoc and RAG, to running fundraising and awareness campaigns with the SU. I’ve also worked with charities and non-profits with the aim of building communities all across the world. I’ve lots of experience working with students and I really believe that I can reignite the amazing sense of community in DCU, bringing everyone together once again. I’ve got some big plans for the students of DCU – It’s time to get excited. #PopYourTerry 🍒
